What's New in Business?

The thing that seems newest to me in business is more an attitude than anything else.

I don't know if it's the beginning of the dissention many are feeling with what has been communicated to me as a president unwilling to take responsibility for his own actions, "...he wants to reach back into 8 years of Bush and not accept responsibility for what he's doing now and the effects it's having.  It's as if Obama is afraid to cross his own party's line in the Senate, afraid the old boy's club will hurt him."

I don't know what goes on in anyone else's mind, and assuming I know is dangerous ground for me... for most human beings I believe.

What I can tell you I've experienced in the past few weeks, in business, is the determination to succeed in spite of the government, to not give in, and to not give up.  Personally, I understand this point of view; I don't believe the Federal government, in its present condition, is well-suitedd to accomplish very much.  It's bloated, slow, cumbersome and is really all about greed, (what is incorrectly perceived as) power and not being held accountable for actions.

I saw a great statement, tell me who you think wrote it:

"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny.  When the government fears the people, there is liberty."

I sense many are fearful of government, for as many reasons as there are grains of sand in the Sahara desert - perhaps more.  But I also sense a willingness to go beyond the fear, and accomplish, IN SPITE of their fear, in spite of their government.

I stand with them, not in fear, but in willingness to do whatever it takes to help people, to succeed!
